The riveting video series “That the World May Know” returns to Christ Church with Volume 8!

In this 5-session video-driven Bible study, noted teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan, illustrates how, in ancient times, nothing was bigger than Egypt… powerful pharaohs, strong armies, and a multitude of gods.  God’s people were no match against the Egyptians.

Against this backdrop and through the Bible’s fascinating historical, cultural, religious, and geographical contexts, Vander Laan will aid class participants in discovering how God answers the cry of his persecuted people and proclaims himself Lord to them and their oppressors.  Each video is filmed on location in Luxor, Egypt; Deir al Medina, Ramesseum and the Red Sea and provides what may be described as illuminating “faith lessons” that afford a new understanding of the Bible that will ground one’s Christian convictions and transform one’s life.

Lessons in Volume 8 include:

  1. How Big Is our God? – Filmed in Luxor, Egypt
  2. Israel in Bondage: God Heard Their Cry – Filmed at Dier al Medina
  3. Finger of God: The Plagues – Filmed at Ramesseum
  4. Watch with Me: Israel Leaves Egypt – Filmed at the Red Sea

Be Free – Exchange Legalism for True Spirituality
 (Study of Galatians)
Just as the Galation church was slipping back into the dangerous rituals of the Jewish religious system, Christians today often live by “spiritual” rules that threaten the good news of salvation through faith.  The book of Galatians is meant to remind us that we don’t need legalism in order to live the Christian life.  We have all we need in Jesus Christ.  This book shows us how to Be Free so we can let go of legalism and embrace a life of grace and freedom in Christ.
