OUR DRIVING PASSION
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Our Middle School and High School student ministries challenge students in their walk with Christ, their relationships at home, at school and with themselves. The youth ministry takes its name from the Latin world “Credo” which means “I believe” and which stands not only as the first two words of the Apostle’s and Nicene Creeds, but as a firm statement of the desire of our students to live for Christ.
OUR GOAL
We aim to build open and lasting relationships with junior high and high school students as the leaders disciple them to become devoted followers of Christ and to be true to our vision as Christ has set forth for our youth ministry.
OUR YOUTH MINISTRY OFFERINGS
Youth Bible Study: A teen group meets from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday evenings. This group focuses on applying God’s Word to everyday life through serious and intentional Bible study.
Youth Group: Our youth group ministry meets at the church on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 pm. The group focuses on fellowship and on subjects to help students deal with contemporary teen issues.
Service Projects: Our teens are committed to serving like Jesus — that is, serving others as a demonstration of Christ’s love. The Christ Church teens participate monthly in various service projects from food bank ministries to city-wide projects to neighborhood cleanups.
Youth Praise Team: The teens have developed their own praise team which participates in youth worship functions. The team is always open to taking in new vocalists and musicians who have a passion to use their talents for the Lord.
OPPORTUNITIES TO BE A PART OF THE YOUTH MINISTRY
What greater opportunity is there than to be a part of a student “getting it” in their relationship with Christ? Discipleship involves adult volunteers helping students become fully devoted followers of Christ and requires an investment of time, energy, and a willingness to learn and grow. The result is spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with Christ and each other. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, please contact Pastor Brett or the church office.
