CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven'" (Matthew 19:14) 

NURSERY

The nursery is staffed with faithful volunteers to care for your infants so you may enjoy the worship service. The nursery, located just inside the entrance of the church close to the worship center, provides a wonderful environment to meet the needs of infants and toddlers less than two years of age.  

CHILDREN'S CHURCH - KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE

It's church all right, but church designed especially for our youngest worshipers. Teacher Judy St John leads worship for our Kindergarten - Grade 5 children's church which meets during the 9:15am adult worship service. During this time, our children learn the "ins and outs" of what it means to worship God through prayer, teaching, singing and lots more. Children also get to do a cool craft each week as a part of the service's teaching portion.

JWALK ( Jesus Walk) - TODDLER THROUGH PRE-K

This is an exciting place for all kids! Classes meet during both worship services (Toddler-Preschool only at the 9:15am service). Picture young children so excited to get to a celebration that they will even JWALK to get there as quick as possible. We watch as our children bring that same enthusiasm to their classes to praise and worship through music, activities, and games in the classroom.

Younger children's Bible-based classes explore what it means to belong to God. Under the guidance of lead teachers, Donna Gates and Jeanette Simmons (Toddler-Preschool, 9:15am and 10:45am respectively) and Pam Bakker (10:45am Preschool/Pre-K), JWALKERS will discover the Creator through His Word and His creation. Our teachers and dedicated volunteers are committed to building the next generation of Christians.  

CROSSWALK - KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FOURTH GRADE

Kindergarten - Grade 1 and Grades 2-4 classes meet at 10:45am during the second adult worship service. CPC realizes that there are many paths we can choose to reach destinations, and as a kid, our early choices are important. When we walk in our cities, CROSSWALKS and traffic signals are there for our safety. We want to help our children maneuver through the streets of life. Lead teachers Stacey Lotshaw's (K-Grade 1) and Heather Everett's (Grades 2-4) classes learn how God's Word will help them get through contemporary life issues in school, with their families, and with their peers. Our goal is to encourage them through Bible-focused lessons to stay in the CROSSWALKS and make good decisions in their daily lives.

FAITHWALK - FIFTH GRADE THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE

This class meets at 10:45am during the during the second worship service. It actively seeks to develop teen disciples who aren't afraid to take their faith to the streets. Lead teacher Brett Everett works each week to assist the tweens and teens in this class to develop a biblical worldview and put it into practice in their families, their schools and their extra-curricular activities and social lives.
